The AI-EFFECT project is undertaking an in-depth study to better understand how artificial intelligence is transforming the energy industry—and how regulation can support its responsible and effective adoption.

We are seeking insights from professionals working with transmission system operators (TSOs)distribution system operators (DSOs), and AI companies collaborating with the energy sector. Your experience can help illuminate the real-world challenges and opportunities surrounding AI deployment in Europe’s energy systems.

Why Your Perspective Matters

AI is poised to redefine how we generate, manage, and deliver energy—optimising grid operations, enabling predictive maintenance, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources, and more. However, innovation in this field is influenced not only by technological capabilities, but also by the regulatory environment in which it operates.

Through a 60-minute online interview, we aim to:

  • Identify the regulatory barriers that may be slowing AI adoption in the energy sector
  • Highlight the enabling conditions that support innovation and scalability
  • Develop policy recommendations to accelerate the uptake of trustworthy, high-impact AI solutions

Your input will directly contribute to shaping practical, evidence-based guidance for policymakers, ensuring that regulations both safeguard the energy sector and encourage innovation.
